We now own TWO houses…out of the frying pan and into the fire they say.

Now, this was BY FAR not a simple dealing.  In fact, I got a call from the lender (on the new home) at 4:30pm yesterday telling me that they now had serious concerns (their corp - not the branch) about me carrying the old house and the financing that was on it.  Turns out that I had TWO banks trying to be my second on the old house - when I refinanced a few weeks back (to be able to pay for the new house), the new second neglected to pay off the old second.  After a frantic evening and early morning of phone calls, I decided to pick up the ball and do it myself.  I wired the funds from new to old, and was able to provide the receipt at closing.  That was enough for the new bank.  Crisis averted.
So.  I feel I am deserving of a good break any day now…anybody want a house in NoVA?
